Well, in Europe it is mandatory to jave a pop-up lid on every waste bin to avoid food contamination and 90% of the this bins do not open completely making very difficult for the camera to pick up the images, not really sure of the purpose of this mainly because you can have these numbers doing stock count amd some basic maths.

Seems a gimmick, can't see it works in practice.
