Brazil stadium war: Massive violence as football fans clash at Atletico vs Vasco game

A key Brazilian league match was stopped for more than an hour after fans started fighting in the stands on Sunday, prompting police to fire rubber bullets and tear gas to contain the crowd and bring a helicopter onto the field to airlift an injured man to a hospital.
Supporters from Atletico Paranaense and Vasco da Gama charged against each other and it took several moments for police to take control of the situation in the southern city of Joinville.
Groups of fans punched and kicked each other several times until police arrived and fired rubber bullets and tear gas to clear the crowd.
Doctors said three other fans were hospitalised but none of their injuries were life-threatening.

The most utterly disgusting act of violence Ive witnessed. Not just kicking a man whilst his unconscious and unable to defend himself but to try and kick his head off his shoulders with such hatred and venom. It's attempted murder in any rule of law.

I am a Vasco da Gama supporter, and i say that these hooligans don't deserve to be called supporters. They are just brutal monsters. They don't represent the club Vasco or its supporters. That also goes for the Atletico hooligans, and anyone who promoves stadium fights. This needs to end! #SHAME

Violence in football is a problem around the world.
And I'm in shame because of this episode. All Brazilians condemned the attitude of those organized fans. They made this because their club drop the league level. It's not occurs everyday here. Trolls says it because the political reasons: many brazilians is angry with government because we have structural problems and government invest billions in stadiums, just for receive people in appropriate mode. I'm not a fan of current government, but in all World Cups in history never a country have a prejudice because of this event. Never. Exactly opposite: economy UP. If Word Cup is bad for any country, why so many want it in your our country? Unfortunately, economy is a fault for many of us, brazilians…, and this what happen: brazilians trolls in any video about brazilian football sayind nonsense.
Dont' worry, we are prepared for the World Cup.
Returning the violence: We have violence here, but football here is not aggressive like this. And in cities that have matches Federal Police and Military Police will be present. and just look Brazil X Spain finals in Conferations Cup here in youtube…., brazilian people looks rude for you? Just a couple of kind people that love this beautiful game.
