Journalist killed in southern Russia
http://www.euronews.com/ Another journalist in Russia has paid the ultimate price for digging into the truth with their life.
28 year-old Kazbek Guekkiiev was shot three times in the head in Naltchik, the capital of the small Caucasian republic of Kabardino-Balkaria. He was approached in the street by a man demanding if he was the presenter of the local state televison’s news programme, and when he replied ‘yes’, he was attacked.
Earlier this year journalists working at the television station received a videorecorded threat, naming some of them and demanding their resignations.
Russia has become one of the most dangerous countries in which to practise journalism, with its southern Republics more dangerous than anywhere else in the Federation.

yes, russia has a bit of a mafia problem in the eastern side of russia, it is as though they have never recovered from the 90's. i think mainly because it is so far awa where its harder to get in supplies and exert government control

Brave journalists the world over put their lives on the line to tell the truth and here in the US you see nothing but cowardice and complete disregard for the public they are suppossed to serve.
