American Airlines files for bankruptcy
http://www.euronews.net/ American Airlines and its parent company AMR Corp have filed for bankruptcy after failing to strike a deal with pilots over labour costs.
The company has had the highest running costs in the US air travel industry after its rivals had successfully managed to reduce theirs through bankruptcy. It was the only major airline still funding workers’ pensions.
AMR says it expects to keep flying during bankruptcy proceedings.

Who cares if the airline is not rely bankrupt! Like if you just cant wait for this airline to die and cant wait to see United and Delta and US and others to get better!!!!!

they fleece the worKers, BUT the gas, banks, etc get paid in full. Workers making a wage are punished if they dont buckle. Fucking cronie capitalistic system! REINSTITUTE COMMON LAW!!

Absolutely, they're being liquidated and looted by the ceos and shareholders.. no way they're broke w their prices and assets. Recall how they robbed the taxpayers billions just a short while ago?

Its not bankrupt. Its just the CEO's refuse to accept a monthly salary that's not in the millions.
