Facebook users jailed for ‘inciting riots’
Two English Facebook users have been jailed for four years for inciting riots more than one week ago.
Jordan Blackshaw and Perry Sutcliffe-Keenan created pages on the social networking site encouraging people to take part in violence.
Only the police turned up to the planned events but judges ruled that tough sentences would act as a deterrent.
The court heard that both men, who are in their early twenties, were previously of good character.

So much for free speech in the UK. Time for a no-fly zone, arms drops for the rebels and a call to the usurpatrix to resign and leave the UK.

What if you offered a riot & only the police showed-up? Not the sharpest knives in the draw. As long as the internet remains free, I see no problem although the sentence was rather harsh.

I'm not a fan of the London riots but very concerned about the methods use to censor decent as they could also be used to deter genuine protest. The blackberry censorship thing was concerning.
