"the awkward squad"? Great… numbers are lower only because there was such a big surge after Merkel opened the doors before trying to slam them shut again, then try to keep people in the border countries and out of Germany and France. Why should Merkel stay in power so long anyway? US only has 8 years max for our President. Maybe time for Merkel to step aside.

Macron recently said that Europe has a 'shared destiny' with Africa, and we should expect 200 million Africans into Europe over the next 30 years. As an aside, he also mentioned the loss of welfare states as an outcome of this.
How can this not be wilful destruction of Europe by the EU? Of our lands, systems, and peoples?
Africa has received over $400 billion in aid over decades and they've managed to create a runaway population, from 455 million in 1970 to 1.2 billion today. And they want Europe to absorb that despite the fact that Europe could fit into Africa 8-10 times.
So this 'controlled migration and distribution' is just diplomatic speak for a never-ending stream of migration and the death of Europe.
