The funny thing about the term "prebunking" is that bunk means BS or nonsense. "De" means removing. "Pre" means "in advance." So "prebunking" literally means "we're lying and using nonsense before you do."

So, if, say, India or even Germany for instance, the government says it wants Google to only "pre-bunk" in ways it would like, then what?
Well-rounded research, cross-referencing multiple sources, knowing the subject matter or at least willing to learn it, and using common sense in discerning which information pieces are least sensible and which ones are more likely, which at times can be evidenced by which information pieces have a higher explaining power while they raise fewer questions than they answer, is perhaps the best antidote to disinformation. One must never assume that just because multiple sources parrot a single source and converge on the same message, that such sources are necessarily credible. 😉
