Scotland’s independence question divides many families
Two short words have divided Scotland: ‘Yes’ and ‘No’. The referendum on independence has been a subject of heated conversation in pubs and homes for two years.
Polls have shown the ‘Yes’ and ‘No’ campaigns almost neck and neck, and 97 percent of the electorate has registered to vote — proving interest is keen, among all sorts of people.
Café owner Philip Bartholomew has felt Scotland should go it alone since the 1980s. He can’t wait to vote ‘Yes’.

Scotland are our brothers in the north and I have a lot of respect them as a country I mean look at the history we have had together fighting side by side in WW1 and WW2 and we need to stick together! This Union is very much sentimental to this day you may have your own opinion of course but Scotland are still important to the table of the union.

They are lies. Anyone who calls themselves a patriot and loves Scotland and want to honour their country, ancestors and their proud History will vote for independence. PS-Independence however does not mean to leave the UK and join the European Union. It means not to be part of anyone

I know a lot of Scots and a lot of Brits and they are very, very different people I have to say. My Scottish friends always emphasized how much Scotland got suppressed by the British government etc. I think you should vote 'YES', it may cost you at the beginning a bit but at the end it will be a win win for Scotland, I am sure. Scotland has so much potential. And it saddens me to see how much the British government tries to scare the Scots 'cause their desire for independence. Please vote 'YES'. Don't let Britain intimidate you. You are a great nation!
