euronews hi-tech – Internet data: travelling light
http://www.euronews.net/ These two laptops are transferring data to each other at a speed of 10 megabits per second – using just light.
Scientists in Germany and elsewhere are working on this optical technology, which could make wireless internet available in places where it is currently restricted.
