European countries are lining up to condemn allegations of US spying on the EU. Referring to the Der Spiegal magazine reports, Germany’s justice minister said the Cold-War-style methods required a full inquiry. France has said, if confirmed, the news is “completely unacceptable.”
Demanding answers from the US, the EU got the response that America was checking the “accuracy of the information” and would “get back to them.”
European Parliament President Martin Schulz said he was shocked by the news.
“If it is true why does the United States treat us how they would treat a hostile power? Do democracies need to spy on each other? I will ask the US ambassador for explanations,” declared Schulz.
The EU-US trade agreement, which would create the world’s largest free trade area, hang in the balance. Some have called for talks to be put on ice.
Luxembourg’s Foreign Minister, Jean Asselborn said:
“It is absolutely unacceptable that fundamental liberties are affected and therefore I believe we immediately need to establish trust at the highest level of European Union and United States.”

euronews U talk – U-talk tackles sexism
“I am Ana from Lisbon. I would like to know how can we put an end to sexism and to the prevailing social differences between men and women which is an ongoing problem in the world?”
To answer Ana’s question U-talk asked Belgian feminist and member of the ‘Dare to be feminist’ collective Laure Juteau to comment:
“Sexism is all about putting people in boxes as soon as we meet them, labelled either ‘man’ or ‘woman’. As soon as they deviate from that, even a little, they are quickly reminded to get back into line and play their role.

The US government throw's around the word terrorism and justification of national security now as they threw away communism and justification to protect from revolution in the 50s.

*therefore not Islamic. I think the Islamic claim's aren't properly founded. Although for an atheist and free-thinker, if he is that, he need's to act more upon such a way of life in his politics, as do most politicians.

I'm pretty confident Obama is an atheist, he is very favorable of science and when he talk's about god in speeches you can tell he is talking about it knowing people believe in that entity but not him himself, that's my opinion anyway.s

Obama "the future does not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam" is FLUENT at the Orwellian language of Shariah. KEY words have dual meanings; terrorist, slander, racist, religion ALL have specific meanings they do NOT have in standard English. How likely is Obama to mention the 1,400 year old Islamic slave trade whilst he's in Africa celebrating his Muslim roots? Why did he say Jefferson held the first iftar in the White House?

Lol you can only think of "European nukes"? I'm sorry bro not only EU, but China (Which also has nukes) can take the opportunity and create a stronger bond with EU, on the other side China already invested butt load in EU so they would rely on China even more. Russia and China already allied against US in many politic aspects as well as military. Yea.. American leaders better be shitting their pants right now.

Mainly because we knew about spying since cold war, its nothing new in US. I have a great bad smell towards CIA for age's.
@UltimateOwnz
March 23, 2024 at 12:16 pm
China is spying on both US and EU, and this is what US is also doing right now, i have a strong feeling that Russia is spying around too, especially Germany spying on every EU country, British have a bad small in this affair too. Its funny how EU's politic's complain about US without showing off what they do. This spying has existed for years, even during cold war. So its nothing new.

ignore ''show's'' it was mistake while fast typing.
@UltimateOwnz
March 23, 2024 at 12:16 pm
EU is not a country, thats the point, so comparing 27 countries to one country show's is unacceptable. And in reality US does kinda make at least 80% of NATO. I dont see a fucking EU flag in NATO head quarters at all besides seeing British, German, Spanish, French, Italian etc.. flag's and American flag also waving there.

March 23, 2024 at 12:16 pm
I doubt European nukes are powerful and fast enought like American or Russian are. When was the last time Europe ever cared about holding nukes? US has more nukes than whole Europe combined, oh wait hold on! The only countries with nukes in Europe are UK, France and Germany, nobody else, and i assume British nuke sub's would surpass American one, since we have more nuke subs than all of you combined anyway, our ICBM's and SAM's are the most advanced in NATO, and European nukes wont get a chanse.
@Ackreti
March 23, 2024 at 12:16 pm
"U.S. forces make up what.. 85% of NATO troops?"
US have 1.5 million active personnel, 850 000 reservists.
EU have 1.7 million active personnel, 3 million reservists.
I don't really know how US could make 85% of NATO troops. Maybe math laws are different over there.
Sanctions doesn't mean war. I find it very childish to think EU and US could ever possible be in conflict, even more ridiculous to be in war because of mere wiretapping.
@Ackreti

You are so great. Please keep US on this track. This way I expect corporatism will take over in next decade.

That means that all those deaths and all those family members and all the destruction caused by Werner Von Braun and his 1500 + team was honored by the U.S. and rewarded because they made these men leaders of NASA and the U.S. in general and made them all multi-millionaires and gave them all sorts of resources. I David Ramirez and those I tell you are the only real Americans and the rest your and mine enemies and they have to be arrested and executed now. I need all the planets help to do this.

Listen I worked for the U.S. Military for 16 years and 10 1/2 of those were in the military and if the United States took all the scientist from Europe since the United States has begun to be a country to include Werner Von Braun and his 1500 man team who killed almost 20 million Russians, 10 million Chinese, 6 million polish, 1000 Brazilians, and a whole bunch of others. Just type this on google warchronicle.comnumbersWWIIdeaths
The U.S. brought that team who killed millions here

Winning the war is not a goal anymore, at least not in 21st century. We have multiple languages in US and have our own accent that everyone is trying to emitate. What do we owe China besides 2.6trillion of dollars? China owes us almost 1trillion.

@UltimateOwnz
March 23, 2024 at 12:16 pm
Who gives a shit about those two nukes? It just gives a proof that US was the first country to ever use a nuke for real. And that means we can use it again. US made deadly viruses? Didnt China make that? Wha about San Diego? And you look like a gypsy on your profile pic.
@UltimateOwnz
March 23, 2024 at 12:16 pm
I dont know where you from, we are the most indepted because we are No.1 economic power. Europe is far more indepted. Do you think that US doesnt have any nukes? And i assume that US would let Russia do that. US has its own nukes too, it isnt hard to let Chinese colonize Siberia. US is definitely the global omnipotent and it definitely isnt a bully. What the fuck do you know about it anyway? Russia has only balls to talk just like the EU's politics.
@UltimateOwnz

1:28 "some in the EU feel that spying on political institutions crosses the line", but OF COURSE it crosses the line!, What would the USA say if the European Union would be spying on the United States political institutions?
@filaminae
March 23, 2024 at 12:16 pm
Personally, as an American, if we Are spying on the EU, I'm Offended and Outraged. If this is not common practice, we should not have been the first to cross that line. Then, there is the apparent fact that our intelligence gathering machinery was exposed. I'm not sure which disgusts me more–that we may have been doing it or that we may have gotten caught. And how the hell did Snowden get away with his crimes? Are our agencies just that Stupid?! Get a friggin' grip!
