Green was an awesome GK! He can’t help the crap groundsmen at a pitch in South Africa

Everytime I hear him talk about the goal, he just blames the ball. Really?

Kinda like how every Nigerian remembers Yakubu for THAT miss…even though he scored in that same game

I wonder when the number 1 shirt for the goalkeeper first ever came about

Basically he blames the coach? what a lame excuse. When you go into a tournament you go there ready to play, he says he needed 3 days to prepare, seriously you at a World Cup and you say you need a few days to let your mind know you playing. A lame excuse, a very disappointing excuse.

Green's right little finger looks a little crooked. Looks like it bends the wrong way. Just noticed it

Hey, I thought he got a raw deal, and I'm American. But seriously, the US had chances to put it away in the second half, and Rob Green stopped them with brilliant saves.

0.29 his little finger 😧🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮. In fact a good story to tell everyone is that he dislocated his finger just prior to the blunder.

He was very good at Leeds for the second half of 16/17. Disappointed he didn't stay another year and we got lumbered with Felix Weidwald.

American here-got to see him play in/with Leeds in 2016 which was cool and of course I will always love his mistake to help us in that World Cup but good for him he overcame the shame and had a career many would dream of and his positive outlook is inspiring.

Having taken the absolute p*ss out of Rob for the last ten years and now listening to him speak about that moment with such humility has got me thinking "grow up you ar*ehole and try and see it from his p.o.v." He was doing his best and it happens to every single keeper – obviously some will get away with it happening in a lower profile game but that could even mean they were never thought of as having World Cup squad ability. At least his stories to his grand-kids will begin with ". . . . and one time, when I was between the sticks at the 2010 world cup . . . . . "

4:42 its mad to think, pro goalkeeping coaches telling keepers the wrong way to stop these kind of shots for decades. Goalkeeping has actually changed alot since 2010
