http://www.FashionTV.com/videos PARIS – The Atelier Versace show got off to a sensual start, but not because of the barely there pieces that seemed to be pasted together with a pin here and a chain there. It was because the one and only Naomi Campbell opened the show in her striking Naomi way. If Donatella Versace wanted to be in the fashion news for more than just her Fall 2013 couture collection this season, she certainly got it. While the clothes looked a bit haphazardly meshed together, it takes really work to make items look that bedhead chic — lace bras and crystal hooks astray. Donatella was inspired by black and white photography of the 30s modernized by photographers “Horst and Man Ray.” Again, as always in a proper Atelier Versace collection, it was skin and it was at its finest.

Naomi Campbell was a great runway modeling in her younger days I must admit. Versace favored her as his top runway model. She really knew how to show his clothes in the fashion shows. But now Naomi Campbell is 44 years old. Just toooo old for modeling. I mean how can she stand being near the very young models on the runway. Those young beautiful models are anywhere from 16,17,18,19,20,21. Again Naomi is GODDAMN 44!!! Retire Naomi!! You cannot compete with those very young beautiful models. The playing field is not equal. If you want to stay in fashion Naomi, go behind the scenes in fashion, stage decorating, hair and makeup, stage design, but not the upfront runway modeling. You have millions of dollars and you have a white rich millionaire boyfriend. Marry your millionaire boyfriend and you and he can open a fashion house in Paris. You can employ young beautiful models to work for you, but for now you just need to STAY OFF THE RUNWAY AND LEAVE IT TO THE YOUNG BEAUTIFUL GIRLS. MODELING IS FOR THE YOUNG AND BEAUTIFUL GIRLS!!!!

This is a PRIME EXAMPLE of that monolithic look in high fashion modeling: TOO thin, WHITE, & NOT really pretty or attractive. They look alright; besides Naomi there’re not really jumping out at me. Moreover, they really don’t have a distinct or/& a natural walk. They are so Blah—zay!
I have to say this! It appears that if they pick a black woman, she has to be 2-3 times as good as her white counterpart before they give her a chance.

Not only Naomi was the only models on this show who knows how to turn properly at the end of the catwalk, but she was so a testament that clothes look good on a tall women size UK10 (+/-US6). Her 34/26/36 stat at 5'-9" is just very lovely to behold. And to look and move like that at 44 yo…
