Biggest mistake: Being chancellor while being influenced by "Green" (=commie) Economic Hitmen. MOSTLY STUPID decisions. Abandoning Germman Nuclear Power, the safest in the world? NOW Germany is circled by countries with much less reliable reactors. And when they explode, German is STILL EXPOSED. Also, believing in the CO2 catastrophe? She as a Chemistry PhD should have been able to compute that there IS NOT ENOUGH CO2 on the planet to cause a climate catastrophe. Stupid Chancellor put Germany last.

Merkal & Germany made a grotesque mistake in trying to trade Putin's Russia into being a peaceful normal country. Two Merkal & Germany made a second grotesque mistake in closing down their Nuclear Power Stations. Fossil fuels particularly coal especially lignite coals they have turned back too kills many more people & wild life & environments directly than all the Nuclear Power Plants in the world and indirectly via global warming thousands if not millions of time more. Then it was good to resettle refugees but bring them in direct from Greece or Turkey don't just say they can come so they wind across Europe in massive distress frightening all the countries in their way back into a regressive racist near fascist pose. She was the greatest disaster since the moustache & might kill as many people in the end by her moronic decisions.

I wonder if Merkel is on Russian payroll? She damaged Germany pretty thoroughly. 🤔
@ems4884
April 6, 2024 at 12:54 pm
Yes and no. It was right for the West to have one major leader reaching out to the Kremlin and trying to create a la positive partnership. It was a long shot, but we know now that Putin was never serious about a rapprochement with the West. He revealed himself as a completely untrustworthy partner.
Now we know the full truth.

Biggest mistake for germany was trusting america. Germany must look after their own interest first. But america sabotaged germany because they want germany to be dependent on america. Now germany and europe gas prices will increase

Merkel and Schroeder should both stand trial for acting in the interests of Russia and Putin in spite of Russia's extensive history of destabilizing and invading their neighbors. They both did so in spite of the fact that many others in the west were clear that going ahead with Nord Stream 2 would give Putin additional revenue to support his aggression and additional leverage to limited western response. Germany has a lot to answer for — perhaps the rest of the world can rethink the purchase of German goods like cars. There must be a penalty for working for Putin and against the security of Europe!

It wasn't a mistake.. Just put a finger on a map of Eastern Europe and any country comes up, they were screaming and sending warnings that it is a HUGE mistake that will eventually have a very negative results.
Germany and France have a problem in trust with Eastern European countries, but they're ready to instantly accept anything russia says. In 2008, France and Germany didn't even believe that it was russia attacking. Read what ex-president of Estonia wrote, when Polish president asked Sarkozy to sit and negotiate Sarkozy replied: "Without those little ones" referring to the Baltic countries.
It will continue, because half of France vote for Le Pen and have some weird romanticism about russians. While Germany is full of pro-russians.
