    Context
In 2014 a ferry was overloaded and started sinking the captain the guy in green at the start told them to stay where they are to die they didn’t know it later the ship capsized fully and the kids drowned rip

    That’s a fast explanation

If you were crew, you shouldn't have been pulled off the boat. They should have been made to go back into the ship and bring out students.

I hate!!! The captian he snuck off the ship to save himself and told the life savers that there was no more people even though there were 500!!! Kids on the ship left to die two best freinds made a video well the ship started to sink I started to cry watching the video it'd so 😢 emotion one of the parents throw there blankets and stood by the ocean waiting for them and said why should we be warm well the are freezing in water there is also a six year old that survived but her brother that is 7 years old and the parents died

You can see how exhausted the survivors are has they are helped and dragged onto rescue boats. So sad to see. Condolences to all the families of the deceased.

None of this is dramatic at all. Those old crew men that got out first. Not a single one of them changed their minds and go back inside to save the students! When the boat went back those poor kids are screaming. Anyone heard it? When they arrived the ship has already sunk. When the stern moved 4:50 they're still screaming below! As a parent this tears my heart to pieces. 💔

I guarantee that all the kids were told to stay put because the adults KNEW that the children would be saved first.

"save people" 😐 No, those people saved THEMSELVES. The coast guard just took them onto their boats. They didn't do anything else.

Saving crew! Captain was the first one to leave the sinking ship. What a shame! Euronews try to be more accurate with your headlines!

Most of saved people are adults because of the students listening to the idiot captain who told them to stay put

why nobody bring the speaker to announce for those students to get outside? 😭

  13. @meera9185

    April 7, 2024 at 10:16 am

They (the elder ones) told the students to stay still and they got rescued first place… What a world we're living in

It was mostly adults who were first rescued because they thought better of the situation than to rely fully from what was instructed to them. If I were there, as an adult myself, I would have gathered as much children as I could to go with me knowing this as a life or death. But maybe it's just a desperate wishful thinking because I cannot do anything for these children. May all these innocent souls rest in peace..

Bridge PA should have been still working when first rescue arrived and could have announce evacuation since they were all with life jacket worn and boat was 90 floated at the time. why are not other big rescue and ferry are not around there to emergency rescue assist to nearest ship. weather is pretty much ok to rescue unless water could have little more cold but plenty of time rescue arrival but very less of them just came out wrong communication. if captain announce not evacuate but cost guard should have been. there was no point loosing lives in vain because of that such a wrong instruction and action.

I don’t understand why the Coast Guard didn’t use a bullhorn to tell the passengers to show themselves and get out of their rooms.

  22. @samonelly4813

The fact that a student was the first one that called the emergency number is insane. While everyone was calling their parents he called for help early and saved many lives. Rest in peace to him and everyone else who died from this tragedy and trying to rescue kids and retrieve bodies.

  23. @samonelly4813

    April 7, 2024 at 10:16 am

This tragedy just makes me so upset and angry. The captain and crew members escaped while telling everyone to stay put. The kids were scared and didn’t know what to do, and by the time they realized the danger they were in it was too late. No one went in to help them or told them to get out of the boat. The government barely sent anyone to rescue the people on board. The kids and other passengers had to fight to save their own lives due to the neglectful and greedy actions of adults.

As I watch these grown, older men being pulled out of the ferry I was wondering, where are the children? Why aren't these men passing children to the rescuers? Reading some of the comments made me realize my fears were correct, that these men didn't care, except for themselves. May peace be to the families of those lost. May Karma find those who could have helped them, but chose to save themselves instead.

They had kids put on floatation devises which then trapped them when it listed quickly…

This is why they tell you DO NOT inflate the flotation device while on the airplane bc you will float to the top and won’t be able to get out.

This is so senseless I can’t imagine their parents
