Pivovarova was a one time art student in Russia and currently lives in Brooklyn where she says her home doubles as an art studio. She never thought about becoming a model until friend/photographer Igor Vishnyakov took photos of her in 2005 and sent them to IMG modeling agency. She later married Vishnyakov in Thailand. Her first runway show was for Prada and she may be best known for a 6-season consecutive run with the Italian brand.
