http://www.FashionTV.com/videos MILAN – FashionTV is backstage at the Dolce & Gabbana show where the models are getting ready for a Sicilian baroque-inspired show as is signature Dolce & Gabbana. “I like the idea of the embellishment, so there’s lots of hair accessories,” says hairstylist Guido Palau, who plays up the jeweled headbands and big earrings with a simple center parted ‘do. Makeup Artist Pat McGrath says the designers wanted the girls to look “angelic and beautiful” as part of the Sicilian baroque theme. The makeup includes gold highlights with pink blush on the cheeks. The setting is pure Sicilian opulence with chandeliers, florals, vines, and more.

http://www.FashionTV.com/videos PARIS – Many wondered if Alber Elbaz was going to be able to be able to top his 10th anniversary Fall/Winter 2012-2013 collection from last season, or at least get to the same place. He surprised us when instead of showing something completely new at Paris Fashion Week, he reinvented what he’s been known for–beautiful jewel toned dresses, menswear-inspired suits, and tuxedo shifts. Instead of just honing in on his signature menswear-inspired womenswear though, he pushed the boundaries by adding asymmetrical vests, slits up to there, obi belts that made wraps, and embellishing with shiny gold pieces or offsetting cowboy boots. Alber Elbaz called it “deconstructed classicism.” We call the next big thing.
