Poland is preparing to defend itself in the event of an attack from Belarus or Russia. Unfortunately, Poland has had bad experiences with the allies, such as during World War II, when France and the UK did not help Poland despite the alliance agreement. Now Poland also knows that if they attacked the country, the bureaucracy in NATO and the EU lasts too long and even if Russia clearly attacked Poland, help will come at the earliest about 7 days, so there is no need to expect help from NATO, you just have to arm your own army and count on own army
