Here are the steps you can take to protect yourself online:

1-Keep track of the latest cybercrime techniques so that you’re aware of them when browsing.

2-Another way to avoid being the victim of cybercrime is to install anti-virus software and keep software up to date, as updates generally upgrade security and remove bugs.

3-Hardware should also be kept up to date to support software security upgrades.

4-Never open suspicious emails or links.

5-Stay off public networks and disable Bluetooth when not in use.

    6-Passwords should be regularly updated.

7-Enable two-factor authentication on online accounts wherever possible.

Hacking is big business online. There are two big reasons why people get hacked: Flaws in software and flaws in human behaviour. You cannot do much about coding vulnerabilities, but you can change your own behaviour and bad habits.

euronews U talk – U-talk tackles sexism

Published

on

“I am Ana from Lisbon. I would like to know how can we put an end to sexism and to the prevailing social differences between men and women which is an ongoing problem in the world?”

To answer Ana’s question U-talk asked Belgian feminist and member of the ‘Dare to be feminist’ collective Laure Juteau to comment:

“Sexism is all about putting people in boxes as soon as we meet them, labelled either ‘man’ or ‘woman’. As soon as they deviate from that, even a little, they are quickly reminded to get back into line and play their role.
