French police given more time to question

French police have been given more time to question a 34-year-old man suspected of planning a terrorist attack in France.

Reda Kriket was arrested during a raid on an apartment on the outskirts of Paris last Thursday.

Weapons and explosives were reportedly found at another address in the city.

French Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve said an attack had been foiled but so far, nothing links Kriket to last November’s attacks in Paris or those of last week in Brussels.
