Wet snow turns into drizzling rain. Thanks to some diplomatic backing and the security clearance of the German and French embassies in Stockholm, I got finally authorization from the Swedish armed forces headquarters to enter the military facility on Gotland, a strategically important island in the middle of the Baltic Sea.

Crouching down into the muddy soil I try best as I can to catch the tense faces of the young soldiers deployed across the coniferous woodland, passing a hidden tank, pausing behind some rocks for a few seconds, then silently moving further towards a trench that separates a small ridge from a large open meadow.

It’s like a choreographed war-ballet, every single fighter fitting smoothly into the well-trained mechanism of their squad. Suddenly some dark silhouettes appear in the grassland ahead. Squad leader Benjamin commands: “Open Fire!”

So the Swedish prepare for a Russian attack but do nothing about the African and Asian Muslim invaders committing acts of violence upon their people and plotting to outbreed them, why are you defending your country when your country will be African and Asian majority in 50 years? Idiots

In Donetsk, on 09/19/2022, 13 civilians were killed at a bus stop. Europe, your hands are up to your elbows in the blood of peaceful people. Your government is at war with women and children. You're a cowardly bunch

From a military stand point if you have tanks and there are missiles on the opposite shore they should be building berms to park tanks in and building up positions that can take the brunt of those missiles. That island is a long flat plane and little cover for large vehicles. Youve seen how Russia is waging this war. Your gonna need anti-air/anti radar tech and you gonna need to hold it against heavy fire. Again just speaking militarily.

As a Former American Soldier, the part I find the worst about this……the government issuing pamphlets on what to do in case of an invasion.

I could never imagine that happening here in America. As a Veteran it is my job to ensure that our military isn't sent into harm's way without just cause. I have been at odds with many times our military has been deployed. But……maybe it hasn't been in vain. America is known as a FIGHTING Nation and I can't think of a single nation that would even think to invade us.

With that said, I wish the best to the Swedish Soldiers. PROTECT YOUR PEOPLE! That is the job of the Soldier.

I think this Russian fear is an over exaggeration. Russia is having a terrible time with its war in Ukraine. NATO’s military is double the size of Russia’s and Europe has four times the population and Europe itself is becoming more globalist authoritarian order lately

Sweden, a country that didn't participate in a war since 1814 and kept their neutrality since the end of WW1, has decided that their neighbor, a warmongering Dictatorship, isn't a reliable neighbor anymore…

  38. @trekmanone1

    April 26, 2024 at 10:10 am

Gotland has become the most strategically expensive and valuable real estate in 2022 or even the planet. The term "an aircraft carrier" in the middle of the Baltic Sea is appropriate. Improve the airport, put in a squadron or two of F35's, air-defense and attack missiles, sea-defense and attack missiles, protect them very well and we are good to go. Russia will fire missiles at Gotland first before any land or air operation. Learn from Ukraine, Russia is all about missiles. You don't really need tanks on a small island? Lots of infantry with shoulder launch ordinance. Finish with excellent communication and coordination. Follow up with a rapid response attack force from Sweden's coast… The unsinkable aircraft carrier…
The whole world is looking at you Gotland now as Sweden and Finland's NATO application proceeds. I forgot…. lots and lots and lots of armed UAVs.
Also, screw Turkey and the dictator Ordagon!!! They should be booted out of NATO. You do not hold up a NATO application because of your domestic troubles and economic issues.

There's one thing I'll give to Russia, my enemy.
They at least inspired nationalism, patriotism and solidarity among the western world. We are now more proud of our countries more than ever. Knowing that any day we could loose our lives, our culture and our freedom to the Russian aggressors,
