http://youtube.com/FashionTV TEL AVIV – The back alleys of Tel Aviv are filled with graffiti and street artists, looking to make a statement on the walls of a city that wavers between crumbling and cosmopolitan. Castro, an Israeli ready-to-wear brand, has done something totally unique and inspiring by gathering leading street artists around the world to collaborate with the designer brand on t-shirts creating the ultimate blend of fashion and street. From the collection stems 50 limited-edition graphic street t-shirts that explore this street art and fashion combination. The collection includes designs from popular street artists from Israel, Germany, and Japan. Besides creating the t-shirts, these artists are also celebrating their work by taking over a building in Jaffa and using it as a canvas for their street artwork. Castro celebrated with a big party in Yafo to showcase the project. The cream of the crop in Israel attended the big event. Similar plans are being made to do similar urban projects in Haifa and Jerusalem.
