Chief Borrell, the guy who once portrayed the "rest of the world" as a "jungle", pitted against "saintly Europe." It looks like he drank 🍹 the "China's thinking about providing Russia with lethal support" kool-aid. There is not a grain of evidence to back it up. It's just part of the same information warfare that led to talks of "Huawei be spying 👀 on us," "Tiktok be spying 👀 on us," "China be sending spy 🎈 to peep on us" and now, once again, "China be thinking about supplying Russia with weapons."
BTW, like the U.S., the EU is preemptively threatening Beijing with sanctions. Such sanctions would hurt EU countries too, given that China is not only a major global manufacturing hub, but also the 2nd largest economy in nominal terms and still growing, rapidly.
China is less isolated now than Russia was prior to the war, and, yet, even Russia is not as isolated as 'western' media claim. China has partnerships worldwide. BUT Beijing knows that EU and the U.S. are reckless enough to partake in something that'll hurt themselves and momentarily screw the rest of the planet [E.g. higher inflation].

Peace is the smartest move . " Trust but verify " told Pr. Reagan to Gorbachev after signing the INF Treaty. In my opinion Pr.Biden and VonderLeyen must demand a full accounting of the near € 170 billiions that the USA and EU are allocating to Kiev , and since the GOP is already demanding answer : " GOP : Is billions spent on Ukraine War aid landing in corrupt pockets ? ", USA Today. If there is no fraud, no one should be upset about a full accounting , right ? Taxpayers have to report every dollar they make to the IRS Tax system in the USA and EU , Ukraine must be able to act by the same standards .
