http://www.FashionTV.com/videos MILAN – FashionTV has a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the Roberto Cavalli Fall/Winter 2012-2013 collection and show for Milan Fashion Week featuring a special walk by supermodel Naomi Campbell, who closed out the show.

Models like Daria Strokous, Julia Nobis, Monika “Jac” Jagaciak, and Natasha Poly are hanging out backstage before the show. Makeup Artist Pat McGrath describes the colorful cosmetic look. “We’re using iridescent colors of blue, green, purple, and gold, almost like a beetle-y insect color and it’s just smoky and beautiful with a nude lip and perfect skin. Very Cavalli.” Models like Kati Nescher and Arizona Muse say the makeup reminds them of butterflies and peacocks.

“We’ve got very Cavalli girls. Very classic.” Hairstylist Guido Palau says of the hair look at the show, “Long hair, little bit of hippie, very sexy. I’ve used one product in the hair, which is like a sea spray so you get that matte texture in the hair.” He says it’s very dramatic in a very simple way.

Roberto Cavalli’s signature style was ever present throughout the collection, though this time the animal prints were embellished with actual material and combined with sequins for more glitz and glamour. “We worked a lot with the solutions. We painted a lot of paints. The beading was three dimensional and iridescent so it was an illusion. The mink became crocodile, the crocodile became python, the python became something else,” says Eva Cavalli. Sequins are made of leather and put together with some palettes to create a real illusion for the eye.

Naomi Campbell closes out the show. “They asked me last September to do their campaign, and because I’m in the campaign this season, they asked would I like to be in the show and I said okay.”

“Fashion is part of our life,” adds Roberto Cavalli, “One word that I say most of the time to every girl. Don’t forget that the right dress in the right moment, can change your life.”
