EU Army would allow European states to leave NATO and let the Americans carry out their proxy wars on their own. The Americans will still have a large military force but we can pull their access to our resources such as bases, that is their main concern. When the Americans stop using our geographically privileged resources, perhaps they will respect us more. Also, that increases the threat of them being under at talc in their home soil, something American republicans used as written in stone rule i.e. "fight over there so we don't have to fight them over here". We don't have to pay into NATO so the US can use it to invade nations over oil, and we can keep away when they do. We can defend ourselves more solidly and our states can investigate in armament built here, reinforcing borders and economy.
We will be self sufficient, it is a great idea. Each country will have their own militaries reinforced and together we will have a more effective force. What part do you don't get?

So we will have an EU army. Macron in France is calling for compulsory national service for French young people – to spend at least one month in the armed forces. So, how soon down the line will we see compulsory service for young people of Europe to serve in the European Army? Free movement of young people guaranteed, that should please them.

What army exactly? The German Bundeswehr has no funding nor proper tanks or planes. Soldiers that are fightinf terrorista cant get a plane because officially there is no money. Meanwhile every African or Syrian takes a "VACATION" in their homeland funded by the German people. Europe is fucked beyond believe and they talk about an EU army? These people need to be imprisoned or thrown into an asylum. They are literally insane.
