Ukraine is a very poor country and doesn't have things like technology to develop. But it should discard the use of russian characters as it uses a very different language similar to polish. Basic issues such as shortage of food should be adressed in long term. But Russia isn't better- it just has a lot of weapons from soviet times and oil, have never seen russian products.

Uh I think why Russia springs to mind when people talk about Ukraine is not just because of Russia's aggression on the country, but also because the two countries have a shared history, common culture, traditions, religion – the languages are both East Slavic and they are both written in the Cyrillic script..
