As evidence grows suggesting that global warming is accelerating, more climate change talks take place in Warsaw. Negotiators are still poles apart.
In addition to melting Arctic ice and Alpine glaciers, scientists see the impact in extreme weather, and effects on wildlife and ecosystems.
The COP19 climate change conference in Warsaw comes after last year’s talks saw little progress on a Green Climate Fund — aid from developed to developing countries.
And how can the EU slash CO2 by 20 percent by 2020, when some countries are reluctant to cut vehicle emissions and coal plant emissions?

Journalism 101:
DO: Seperate fact and opinion. Present various opinions.
DON'T: use a clueless and smug caster, a junior politician, an exhausted UN bigwig and an 'expert' without training in the field about which he holds strong opinions.
Cheap 'controversy', boy is that boring. There are lots of interesting debates ininternational climate politics, but whether its getting warmer or not is not one of them. More like, what is the best/cheapest/justest way to move beyond 19th century technologies of digging ancient stuff out of the ground…

Far from comedy… It is actually a tragedy that there are still so many blind, or pretending to be blind, people… The climate change is far more certain than a lot of scientific and political information on which many drastic decisions are based on, and on the expense (not only financial) of own citizens… Take military expenses based on assessed “risks”, for example.
