Video: Ukrainian pilots escape with aircraft as troops ‘take over’ air base
Four Ukrainian MI-8 helicopters and three planes managed to escape from a naval airbase in Crimea on Tuesday (March 4) which was later allegedly taken over by Russian troops. The aircraft took off from a base in Saki in western Crimea after reportedly being offered to report to the new Crimean government. In the video, Ukrainian pilots escape with aircraft as Russian troops ‘take over’ airbase.
They safely landed in mainland Ukraine near the town of Mykolaiv.
Russia and the West are facing the most serious confrontation since the end of the Cold War over influence in Ukraine. Russia has effectively occupied the Crimea region, raising the tensions in the region. Russian forces remain in control of Crimea, where Interfax reported they seized control of two Ukrainian missile defense sites overnight, and Russian President Vladimir Putin gave no sign of backing down. Putin on Tuesday defended Russia’s actions in Crimea, which used to be Russian territory, and said he would use force only as a last resort.

I am sure the Russians are allowing aircraft to just take off at their leisure to escape rather than using ordinance and manpads… for goodness sake even the ak12 could have killed the pilots before takeoff this is definately not from the current conflict because Russia would have blown them sky high

They ruZZian solders will be thinking "oh this special operation will be easy done and dusted in a day or two" the Ukrainian army was not ready and didn't think ruZZia was really goingbto invade ukraine thought it was intimidating acts but boy the RuZZians were wrong. Now do you really think NATO USA/UK left Afghanistan for the reasons they gave at the time? USA had Intel RuZZia was going to attack that's why they NATO left Afghanistan fast because they knew they can't be bogged down in Afghanistan so they can and have much more resources for RuZZia.
I knewvit from the start and ppl told me I'm a conspiracy watcher but Biden gave a hint in his speech he saud "we need to get out Afghanistan the never ending 20 year war and be ready for the next long war" was that a slip up? Was he meant to say that? I think he went if script when he said that. The pentagon knew RuZZia and China were about to do something. Also I think China has a roll in this was but just not official joined as on the news a chineese spokesman saud :what's the difference from NATO giving Ukraine weapons and China giving RuZZian weapons? That statement says it all.
