The Somalian islands are kicking China out, probably because Australia realizes they're so important and is now letting their kids go college for free or something. The people of New Zealand have done a remarkable job of going back to Native genes.

Saint Pierre and Miquelon, Saint Bartholemy, Saint Martin are colonies of French. Same goes with Great Brtain and it's colonies: North America: Turks and Caicos, Montserrat, Anguillia, Cayman Islands,Bermuda. South America: Falkland Islands. Ascension and Tristan da Cunha
South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands. British Virgin Islands. South Africa:Saint Helena. Europe: Gibraltar. Oceania: Pitcairn Islands. To me it is a British Neo-Colonialism not different than France. Because these territories did not become independent and do not had referendum of decolonisition.

To be honest if I were to live in an overseas territory of my country I would want local voting rights. In order to protect indigenous populations compromises must be found and most likely restrictions on what non-native citizens of overseas territories can vote for must be restricted. The most important issue is that the French moving to the overseas territories are far wealthier than the local citizens. If any of us were to witness large numbers of non-natives with wealth we couldn't dream of moving to our place of birth when we should be equals as part of the same nation then it is hardly surprising to see this kind of reaction.
Give French living overseas the voting rights anyone needs in their local community for a functioning democracy and ensure that the native voices are heard and properly include them in your nations wealth and you'll see the current issues disappear.
I wouldn't call Macron's foreign policy style patronizing so much as autistic. From all I've seen he's not saying no without reasons but he communicates in a manner shockingly unaware of human emotions.
@benjauron5873

Marine LaPen is a Russian stooge. If overseas departments are voting for her, then there's NO WAY this doesn't have Putin's fingerprints all over it.
@kauz33
May 24, 2024 at 8:17 am
Native people should be the only able to vote for independence of their country, not colonials. People thinking that this would lead to expulsion of european people are beyound moronic, a new nation would be born and then the colonials could participate in this society. It does say a lot that people thinking that the independence would lead to outward expulsion of people instead of cooperation

Why not talk of the countries behind those anti-french movements ?
Allegedly Russia, Turkey, Azerbaidjan, China, just to cite the one cited by most press.
Would not surprised me to find some anglo-saxon there too.
After all, it seems that all the ill in the world is because of France, if I were to believe the general messages of all presses, outside of French ones.
