First Look – Lanvin Spring 2012 ft Miranda Kerr at Paris Fashion Week PFW | FashionTV – FTV

Published

http://www.FTV.com/videos PARIS – The look for the Lanvin show, according to Makeup Artist Pat McGrath, is a strong brown-grey eyeshadow around the eye. McGrath says Alber Elbaz told her he wanted them to look like beautiful, strong feminine angels and that’s what they’re going for. “It’s strong, but it’s understated,” says model Miranda Kerr, “That’s what makes it so strong.” Hairstylist Guido Palau describes the hair for the collection as urban, wet, shiny, and center parted. “It’s a tough girl, super glamorous clothes, it’s a nice juxtaposition to Alber’s fashion,” he says. Aymeline Valade opens Lanvin under a halo of light and struts down the runway out of the shadows. It’s a powerful role. Alber Elbaz was told his pieces won’t photograph well and he didn’t care. He did them the way he wanted to with different fabrics and different colors. “I don’t do clothes for photos,” he says, “I do clothes for women.”

“You know, Alber, is like a whisper,” explains CNN’s Alina Cho, “His clothes are subtle, but they’re beautiful.”

Never-Ending Journey by Etro for F/W 26-27, Milan Fashion Week

Published

on

Step into the world of maximalist escapism and ultimate elegance in the fall/winter 2026-2027 Etro show unveiled at Milan Fashion Week! Creative Director Marco de Vincenzo presents Etro as a continuous cycle of reinvention, where textile instincts and an escapist spirit guide a journey that is “always different but always true to itself.” De Vincenzo likens the collection to a spectrum that stretches between two poles: a restrained, masculine opening and a final, maximalist explosion. The show began with a refreshing discipline, merging British-inspired military coats and tartan scarves with studded leather suits and heraldic-motif knits. As the narrative progressed, the Etro woman’s audacity took center stage, evolving from precision tailoring into a vibrant display of the brand’s iconic paisleys and stripes. The collection culminates in a “glam glory” designed for the boldest travelers. Exuberant furry coats, ruffled party dresses, and golden fringes create a high-impact finale that celebrates eclecticism and power. This season also marks a unique dialogue between femininity and function, contrasting velvet stiletto sandals and embroidered pouches with suede mules developed in collaboration with Birkenstock. For de Vincenzo, Etro remains a house built on escapism – a world where style knows no geographical boundaries, and the imagination serves as the ultimate destination.

Sculpted Stillness by Completedworks for F/W 26-27, London Fashion Week

Published

on

Discover the intersection of art and adornment in the fall/winter 2026-2027 collection of Completedworks, which once again proved why it is a master of the “beautifully broken” aesthetic. Creative Director Anna Jewsbury transformed the runway into a narrative of domestic surrealism, blending high-jewelry precision with ready-to-wear silhouettes that feel caught in a moment of elegant collapse. The collection explores the tension between the permanence of stones and the fleeting nature of everyday habits, resulting in a series of looks that feel like wearable sculptures. The F/W 26-27 presentation took a theatrical turn, anchored by a celebrity-fronted performance starring Jemima Kirke. This immersive staging centered on themes of identity, ritual, and the blurred lines between performance and daily life. The collection showcased sculptural, sustainable jewelry that continues the brand’s commitment to ethical craftsmanship. Key pieces included striking earrings and agate-stone necklaces that explore the power of surfaces, featuring “misplaced” pearls and molten recycled silver that appeared to grow naturally from the collars and cuffs of the garments. The clothing itself mirrored this artistic inquiry, with fabrics mimicking the organic folds of crumpled paper or unmade linens, punctuated by oversized ceramic-inspired hardware. The color palette remained grounded in earthy neutrals, allowing the intricate textures and avant-garde proportions to speak to a woman who finds power in imperfection and the rituals of the self.
