Catalonia is one more region, like the rest of the Spanish regions.
There is no right to unilateral secession.
The UN guarantees the territorial integrity of nations , such as Spain.
The European Commission does not support or approve of the secessionist movement.

There is no deaf person if he does not want to listen.
    End of conversation. Bye.

The UN doctrine prohibits any action aimed at violating or impairing all or part of the territorial integrity of sovereign and independent states. Catalan identity nationalists repeat the mantra that peoples have the right to free self-determination according to the 1966 New York Pacts on civil rights. But resolution 1514 (XV) adds that "any attempt aimed at totally or partially breaking the national unity or territorial integrity of a country is incompatible with the purposes and principles of the Charter of the United Nations."
Catalonia is a Spanish region, it is not a Colonial territory, and it exercises its right of self-determination through its own government elected by the Catalans, and governs with its own parliament. Enough of so many lies of the nationalist fanatics.

Puigdemont violated the Spanish Constitution and the autonomous statute of Catalonia. He is an identity nationalist who seeks the secession of a part of the Spanish territory and only receives the support of the European extreme right. He has been expelled from the European liberal group ALDE and no country in the world supports this fugitive from justice.

Catalan people will vote and choose their political and institucional status. The same than scotland, bosnia, montenegro and others. While spain try to shut up catalan people, the catalan independentists are increasing.

Olympic bidding rules made more appealing

Published

on

It has become so expensive to hold the Olympic Games that the International Olympic Committee has just made the bidding more attractive for potential hosts. In Monaco, the IOC presented the biggest organisational changes in decades.

This means hosts may stage events in more than one city, even more than one country.

Also, bringing in a new sport doesn’t have to wait seven years from first approval, and can even appear for just one round of Games. For instance, Tokyo wants baseball and softball…

Fight for fertility in Europe

Published

on

The Polish Health ministry has released a video to encourage its citizens to start ‘breeding like rabbits’. Poland has one of the lowest birth rates in Europe and it’s resulting in severe population decline. In 2015 the rate was at 1.32 children per woman, with only Portugal having a lower figure, while Spain and Greece were almost the same.
