2013 Met Gala! Punk: Chaos to Couture ft Sarah Jessica Parker, JLo, Beyonce, Madonna, Psy

http://www.FashionTV.com/videos NEW YORK – The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute Gala is an annual event that’s been happening since 1948. Every year, the Costume Institute at the Met establishes a new exhibit highlighting designers and/or a theme or moment in fashion. This year, the museum brought to life the theme of punk. In an exhibit called Punk: Chaos to Couture, which showcases from May 9 to August 14, 2013, the Met will examine the impact of punk on high fashion from its birth in the UK in the 1970s to today featuring designers like Vivienne Westwood, Versace, and even Karl Lagerfeld.

The stars came out in their best red carpet fashion for the annual Met Gala to launch the exhibit and show off the best of punk. While FashionTV argues that many were not punk enough, our highlights let the viewers make that decision for themselves. While the exhibit was made possible by Moda Operandi, the chairmen of the event included Givenchy’s Riccardo Tisci, actress Rooney Mara, and Vogue’s Editor-In-Chief Anna Wintour.
