Three children shot dead at Jewish school in France

http://www.euronews.com/ Four people, including three children, have been shot dead at a Jewish school in southwestern France, in what appears to be the latest in a series of linked gun attacks.

Witness say a man on a scooter opened fire on students arriving for morning classes at the Ozar Hatorah school in Toulouse. Several people were also injured in the shooting.

As a stunned Jewish community in the city came to terms with the atrocity, it was reported that security was being stepped up at religious schools around the country.

This morning’s incident follows on from the fatal shooting of two soldiers at a cash dispenser in the nearby town of Montauban last week. Several days early another serviceman was gunned down in Toulouse in similar circumstances by an attacker on a motorbike.

Prosecutors have said the incidents may be linked and that an anti-terrorism investigation has been opened. They have not indicated any possible motive yet, and so far no-one has claimed responsibility.
