Manish Malhotra: The Architecture of Love for F/W 26-27 | Paris Haute Couture Week

Published

on

Admire the legendary Indian couturier Manish Malhotra, who stepped onto the global stage, making his highly anticipated runway debut at Paris Haute Couture Week.

The collection, entitled “MAA,” was a breathtaking love letter to his late mother, who passed away just three months prior – right before Malhotra received his official spot on the couture calendar. Infused with the profound emotion of grief and gratitude, the show was far more than a runway presentation; it was a poetic exploration of creation, identity, and legacy distilled into contemporary high fashion.

The collection unfolded beautifully across four distinct chapters, mapping out the evolving relationship between mother and child. It opened with “Cocoon,” featuring structural, rounded volumes and ovoid silhouettes that symbolized the earliest stages of life.

Standout pieces included an opera-length crinkle-pleated coat, beautifully embroidered with figures depicting a toddler shifting into adulthood; a soft pink cape; and a translucent yellow jacket with a collar that reaches up to gently veil the face.

From there, the narrative transitioned into “Bond,” where silhouettes softened into fluid drapery and layered constructions. These sculpted forms balanced strength and lightness, highlighting massive, intricately knotted silk cords that wrapped around the body before cascading into golden threads.

The garments were heavily accented by the jaw-dropping launch of Manish Malhotra High Jewelry. Exquisite, museum-grade gemstones were scattered throughout the lineup, including a dramatic ear cuff loaded with 18 carats of diamonds and 8 carats of rubellite, an Art Deco collar necklace, and traditional haathphool hand jewels featuring 170 carats of Mozambique rubies.

Drenched in delicate blush and rose hues – his mother’s favorite colors – Malhotra’s Paris debut proved that the deepest personal memories can be transformed into the ultimate expression of global luxury.

Julie de Libran: the Couture Ritual for F/W 26-27 | Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week

Published

on

Elegance in motion: step inside the intimate, wellness-inspired sanctuary of Julie de Libran’s fall/winter 2026–2027 haute couture collection on FashionTV!

On July 6, 2026, Paris Haute Couture Week witnessed a beautiful departure from rigid fashion norms. Designer Julie de Libran invited guests into a quiet, sunlit Pilates studio in the Latin Quarter to unveil her deeply personal Autumn/Winter 2026–2027 collection, entitled “Rituel.” Grounded in the philosophy that true luxury begins with internal alignment, the show functioned as a poetic celebration of well-being, fluid physical movement, and conscious living.

Rather than confining the body in traditional, heavily structured couture corsetry, de Libran designed a wardrobe that breathes and bends with the wearer. Models moved naturally and freely through the space, showcasing silhouettes that were closer-fitting yet entirely fluid. The collection effortlessly balanced casual comfort with Parisian sophistication, featuring relaxed tailoring, dance-inspired ruffles, metallic fringe accents, and sophisticated, pajama-style ensembles.

To bring texture and light to the studio floor, the designer beautifully integrated shimmering silks, metallic cloqué fabrics, and a show-stopping sequined raffia little black dress. Beyond the garments’ physical grace, “Rituel” represents a masterful triumph in sustainable high fashion.

Continuing her uncompromising commitment to upcycling, de Libran breathed new life into deadstock textiles with exceptional intention. Exquisite couture tweeds from previous design seasons were carefully repurposed into modern patchwork jackets, while reconstructive white shirting and delicate, hand-cut silk leaf appliqués transformed raw materials into timeless works of art.

By blending the ease of a Californian lifestyle with iconic French savoir-faire, Julie de Libran delivers a quiet, empowering confidence – proving that clothes should never restrict the body, but rather liberate the mind.

Valette Studio: Disobedience of Elegance for S/S 27 | Paris Men Fashion Week

Published

on

Explore the intersection of strict tailoring and artistic disruption: watch the complete Valette Studio spring/summer 2027 showcase from Paris Fashion Week on FashionTV!

Opening day one of Paris Fashion Week Men’s at the historic Hotel de Jaucourt, designer Pierre-Francois Valette unveiled “Dandys Dada” – a mature, 24-look S/S 2027 collection that beautifully handles the tension between structural control and artistic chaos.

Drawing heavily on the rigid, geometric lines of the Constructivist movement, the collection grounds itself in impeccable Parisian tailoring. Structured wool twills, crisp cotton poplins, and recycled leathers define the architecture of fully canvassed jackets, featuring complex details like leather-covered shoulder pads and horsehair chest pieces. However, true to the collection’s name, the spirit of Dadaism quickly steps in to disrupt this order.

Valette introduces flou and grand flou (fluid drapery) to the brand’s vocabulary for the first time, using bias-cut silk mousseline and viscose jersey to bring transparency, sensuality, and movement to menswear. The collection plays with shifting volumes, asymmetric draped shirt collars, skewed jacket lapels that travel diagonally across the chest, and repeating zippers.

This deliberate friction is echoed in the color palette: strict blacks, whites, and off-whites are suddenly interrupted by intense violet, earthen orange, and daring, exclusive zebra and spotted prints. Ensure you never miss an update from the runway.
