The label Frankie Morello was born in 1998 from the stylistic encounter between Maurizio Modica and Pierfrancesco Gigliotti.
Maurizio Modica had his first experiences in Paris and Milan, starting from the artistic field as a performer, choreographer, scenographer and costume designer for various theaters and dance companies, and only later on his collaborations landed in the world of design. With Alessi, he realized some events, exhibitions and workshops, one of which is the meta-project “FFF”.
Pierfrancesco Gigliotti graduated in architecture at the Polytechnic of Milan, which thesis was : “the dress like an architecture of the body”. He had numerous collaborations in Milan, Stockholm, New York and Tokyo. The possibility to work in these cities gave him the opportunity to acquire, through different cultures, an international imprimatur.
In 1999, the reflectors were ignited on the brand Frankie Morello with the Spring / Summer menswear collection , attracting the attention of prestigious int’l headings and most important buyers.
Today, in spite of the evolution and the eclecticism expressed by a fashion that wants be “outside the borders”, the two designers haven’t lost their strong identity, they continue to offer clothes with a renewed tailored content. For many years, the two of them even have inserted small flash of womens collection.
The underwear / beachwear collections were launched in 1996.
The philosophy of the duet expresses the thought of a flaw, this flaw seen like an artistic particular, the wearable imperfection, structured and destructured, the apparel in a vision like the art to dress. The order born from the disorder, disorder obtained from a mixture of woven, incongruous topics, colors and acclimatization of them, but characterized by clear points of view.
A refined balance of opposites, pleasantly amplified together, where the small details become characteristic elements of the garment. The two designers explore narcissism and the narcissistic deficit in the ego-structure, the strength and the fragility.
Frankie Morello makes clothes for all those who think that “art is a raison de vivre”, the continuous changing of their collections is given by the study of the great names that made the history of fashion and from the close living with emergent artists in every discipline

On July 6th, 2026, Tony Ward transformed the historic Réfectoire des Cordeliers in Paris into an organic desert topography to unveil his Fall/Winter 2026/27 Couture collection, Whispers of the Dunes.
Exploring the tension between serenity and unpredictable movement, models drifted through undulating, dune-like seating arrangements, mirroring the natural flow of wind across sand. The collection opened with sun-faded neutral silhouettes, soft draping, and elongated lines that evoked untouched desert horizons at sunrise.
As the narrative evolved, the garments transitioned into protective, layered formations featuring sculptural hoods, veils, nomadic-inspired geometries, and a rich palette bathed in a warm golden glow.
At the heart of the collection was an extensive celebration of artisanal heritage, bridging contemporary couture with Lebanon’s living craftsmanship. Ward introduced an intricate, exclusive hand-braiding technique where individually dyed silk strands were transformed into sculptural embellishments through traditional handwork and experimental crochet.
This deep textural exploration drew an elite global audience to the desert-inspired front row, which featured prominent figures such as Sheryl Lee Ralph, Davikah, Esha Gupta, Didi Stone, Keni Silva, Mohamed Hadid, Yi Meng Ling, Hoda Eletreby, Jackie Aina, and Mabel.
