Meet Karolina Spakowski, Alice Sabatini, and Lorenzo Serafini backstage at Alberta Ferretti’s fall/winter 2025-2026 show which marked a significant moment, presenting a fresh and convincing reinterpretation of the brand’s legacy through his lens of contemporary romanticism. Taking inspiration from Greco-Roman forms and mid-century influences, Serafini masterfully blended classical elegance with modern sensuality, evident in fluid draping, sculptural tailoring, and intricate detailing. Outerwear emerged as a defining element, showcasing double-faced cashmere coats and oversized shearlings, which enveloped delicate dresses, creating a striking contrast between structure and softness. Sheer fabrics, cascading ruffles, and beaded accents lent an ethereal quality to tailored pieces, while handmade resin buttons and jewelry, resembling ancient cameos, added a touch of timeless refinement. A closing gown crafted from 45 meters of hand-pleated chiffon beautifully encapsulated Serafini’s approach, balancing romanticism with a restrained elegance.
