First Look – Versace Fall 2012 – Joe Zee and Donatella Versace Talk to FashionTV at Milan Fashion Week

http://www.FashionTV.com/videos MILAN – FashionTV has your indepth look at the Versace show for Fall/Winter 2012-2013 during Milan Fashion Week. “This was such a modern Versace,” says Vogue Japan Contributor Anna Dello Russo. Adds designer Donatella Versace, “It was all about women today…Beauty doesn’t need to be polished and shiny all the time. We wanted it to be dark and mysterious.” Fashion commentators like Vogue Italia’s Franca Sozzani and Neiman Marcus’s Ken Downing applaud the beauty of the collection. “Versace was fantastic. It was really Versace,” said Sozzani, “It was more softer than before. It was new but it was still Versace at the same time.” Adds Downing, “There must have been a 90s sensibility with a little bit of a Twilight idea. Dark poetry from Donatella Versace.” Other fashion industry insiders called it a bit science fiction and gothic. The designer showcased dresses in tough leather and rich leather emblazoned with embellished crosses, a signature symbol for the label.
