Decomposing video art – le mag
British artist, Emma Allen, specialises in body painting and her latest piece – entitled ‘Ruby’ – is a beautiful stop-motion video, encompassing more than 750 photographs of her face.
The striking images show her age over time, before flowers sprout from her decomposing skull and life appears again in the cosmos.
The artist, based in London, said the piece represented energy transfer and renewal.
