euronews reporter – Tourists deserting Tunisia
Since the beginning of the conflict in Libya, more than 60,000 Libyans have fled to Tunisia. Normally, the island of Djerba, some 300 kms from the frontier is a mass tourist destination.
But now, many of the tourist apartments are let to fleeing Libyans for half the normal rents. The streets are unusually empty. There is hardly a tourist in sight….
