RVDK: From Luxury Surplus to Kinetic Art for F/W 26-27 | Paris Haute Couture Week

Published

on

Explore “Vive l’Art” and see how Ronald van der Kemp crafts beauty from luxury excess on FashionTV!

Presented during Paris Haute Couture Week on July 7, 2026, RVDK Ronald van der Kemp debuted Wardrobe 24: “Vive l’Art” – a poetic manifesto that transforms yesterday’s luxury excess into tomorrow’s couture.

Refusing to let sustainability limit creativity, Van der Kemp turns reclaimed materials into a canvas of pure artistic freedom, embracing every happy accident, raw edge, and unrepeatable texture along the way. Luxury surplus, rescued skins, overstock beads, and forgotten treasures form the foundation of a fluid, multi-textured collection where clashing prints, vivid hues, and sharp tailoring align naturally.

The house also introduced RVDK Art Jewellery, featuring wearable kinetic sculptures, hair jewellery, brooches, and moving pins crafted from 3D-printed recycled filament, hand-painted, lacquered, and embellished with found objects. Moving seamlessly between structured tuxedo blazers, raw-edge denim, and delicate sheer dresses, the collection breaks conventional rules to celebrate a deeply personal, instinctual approach to fashion.

The runway design reflected this raw creative instinct, turning the venue into an active art studio where industrial elements met delicate floral arrangements. Models walked with an unscripted, confident stride that mirrored the spontaneous nature of the clothes themselves.

Broad-shouldered coats fashioned from upcycled jacquard were paired with micro-minis crafted from patchwork leather offcuts. Intricate hand-embroidery brought new dimension to salvaged silk tulles, creating a striking contrast between weathered surfaces and refined handiwork.

Van der Kemp’s commitment to Circular Couture was evident in every detail, proving that true luxury lies in human ingenuity rather than pristine, mass-produced materials.

Dana AlMulla: Poetry in Stone & Silk for F/W 26-27 | Paris Haute Couture Week, Off-Calendar

Published

on

Press play on pure elegance – watch Dana AlMulla’s fall/winter 2026-27 show on FashionTV!

Presented as an off-calendar showcase during Paris Haute Couture Week F/W 26–27, Qatari designer Dana AlMulla unveiled her collection titled “Echoes of Timeless Art.” Standing at the intersection of cultural heritage and international haute couture, the collection translates classic Islamic architectural forms into a modern, sculptural wardrobe. The runway presented a dialogue between structure and fluidity. Defined lines, curved volumes, and sculpted silhouettes evocative of vaulted domes and intricate ceilings were balanced by soft floral motifs and organic drapery.

A refined color palette – spanning warm beige, delicate blush, deep ocean blue, and luminous yellow – interplayed with light and depth across every look. AlMulla’s off-calendar show reaffirmed the growing influence of Arab couturiers in Paris, offering a quiet, disciplined harmony between historical memory and contemporary atelier craftsmanship.
