The Very Big Question That The Big Ten Still Hasn’t Answered For 2024
The 2024 Big Ten football season is set to kick off in less that four months, and the conference still has a very big question it needs to find the answer to: how is it going to break ties between teams in the league standings?
With the addition of Washington, Oregon, USC, and UCLA, the Big Ten is now an 18-team league, and each member will only play nine conference opponents this fall. With divisions now a thing of the past, and teams only having head-to-head results against roughly half of the league, messy tie-breaker scenarios could decide who plays for the conference title, and who gets a leg up in the race for a spot in the College Football Playoff.

Stricter lockdown considered: UK health secretary warns health service under ‘very serious pressure’
Authorities in the UK are considering even stricter lockdown rules as the country’s health secretary is warning of ‘very serious pressure’ on hospitals.
Meanwhile, ministers are concerned strict lockdown rules are not being adhered to as closely as during the first lockdown back in March.
They say this could be a result of both public fatigue and the ‘false sense’ of security the vaccination rollout is providing.
