Kiev signs EU financial aid deal
The European Commission on Tuesday signed a deal with Ukraine to disburse one billion euros of financial aid.
The signing came during a visit by interim Ukrainian prime Arseniy Yatsenyuk to the EU headquarters in Brussels.
José Manuel Barroso, the president of the European Commission, said that the money would help Ukraine “address short term economic stabilisation needs and implement governance reforms.”
