http://www.FashionTV.com/videos PARIS – FashionTV is at the Lanvin Fall/Winter 2012-2013 collection for Paris Fashion Week, where we get a behind-the-scenes look at the makeup, hair, backstage, and runway action.

Pat McGrath reveals her makeup secrets for the Lanvin show. “We’re backstage at the Lanvin show and we looked at the collection with Alber and he told us it was all about shape and form. So we went with shape and form black and white, almost like a sketch.” McGrath and company loaded on the thick black eyeliner and groomed the brows. “It’s the natural version of the ultra chic Lanvin woman,” adds model Karlie Kloss.

According to Hairstylist Guido Palau, you have “very natural hair at Lanvin.” He continues, “The reason it’s so natural is the clothes are so embellished and beautiful and jewel-like, so the simplicity of the hair almost makes it look more rich in a funny way.” He blow dried the hair but let it dry naturally.

The models looks like they’re playing dress up in the gorgeous clothing. And why not? It’s the 10th anniversary of Alber Elbaz’s run at Lanvin. Glenda Bailey, Editor-In-Chief of Harper’s Bazaar USA perhaps put it best when she said, “What of course Alber does which is completely exceptional is he manages to push fashion forward but at the same time be totally respectful of the past.” Adds Elbaz, “I wanted to introduce a lot of tradition and heritage but yet, new technology…of cutting and treating fabrics and volume.” The girls start the show in jewel tone dresses with unique lines and well placed asymmetry before diving into the meat of the collection which is heightened print dresses, unique materials, and ultimate glamour.

Which Red Carpet moment from the premiere stole the show for you?

The 79th Cannes Film Festival took a turn for the poetic with the world premiere of Koji Fukada’s highly anticipated competition entry, “Nagi Notes”. While the Japanese drama captured hearts inside the theater with its serene, contemplative storytelling, the steps of the Palais des Festivals were alive with an eclectic mix of international cinema legends, sporting icons, and masterclasses in tailoring. In an unforgettable crossover of world-class athletic prowess and high fashion, Olympic champion Imane Khelif made a show-stopping appearance, trading the boxing ring for pure red-carpet majesty in a custom, beautifully structured Chanel creation.

The evening also drew an incredible gathering of visionary filmmakers and global talent. Acclaimed Polish director Jerzy Skolimowski and writer-producer Ewa Piaskowska brought their signature arthouse sophistication to the Croisette, walking the carpet alongside creative forces like Rosie Minako and legendary auteur Hirokazu Kore-eda, who was there to support his fellow contemporary master. Infusing the night with a vibrant wave of Latin American star power, a powerhouse contingent led by Gael García Bernal, Adriana Paz, Diego Luna, and Anna Díaz arrived together.

Diego Luna and Gael García Bernal served up timeless, effortless charm, while Adriana Paz captivated onlookers with her radiant grace.

Together, this constellation of stars transformed the quiet, artistic debut into one of the festival’s most culturally rich and stylish highlights.

See more at http://facebook.com/FTV

The WMC has been the most important electronic music festival in the U.S. for the past 25 years. Typically it has been a place where names like Paul van Dyk, Armin van Buuren and DJ Tiesto have held court, spinning four- to six-hour sets for their fans. this video features Erick Morillo playing at Arcadia club in Fountainbleu hotel. Enjoy Miami beach non-stop party.

In the fall of 1999, Morillo completed a U. S. tour and his club night, dubbed “Subliminal night”, is credited with single-handedly resuscitating New York City’s ailing club scene[citation needed], a feat he accomplished by signing up Danny Tenaglia, Darren Emerson, Bob Sinclar, Derrick Carter, Tiger Tim Stevens, Mark Farina and Tony Humphries in guest spots. Morillo has also hosted various other club nights across the globe, such as his weekly “Sessions” parties in New York, the annual Crobar party in Miami(ULTRA), and his legendary Subliminal Sessions parties at Pacha in Ibiza, which was named “Best International Club” of 2002 and “Best Ibiza Party” of 2001 by Muzik magazine. Ibiza is also where Morillo was crowned “Best International DJ” in 2002 and “Best House DJ” in 1999 and 2001 at the Pacha Ibiza awards. He has been known to play up to 30 gigs a month in locations including Greece, Malta, Amsterdam, London, Madrid, Belfast, and Russia. According to Morillo, his most memorable job was on Ibiza’s White Isle after the September 11 attacks:

“I was playing the closing party of the Space Terrace straight after September 11th. I ended the night with Frank Sinatra’s “New York, New York”. People were crying and waving American flags, everybody was singing. It’s my most emotional memory as a DJ.”
In addition to his MTV UK appearances, Morillo has also hosted MTV Ibiza for two years, and presented the UK’s Dancestar Awards and starred in a seven-part Channel 4 series documenting his world travels as a party DJ.
