UBER boss says sorry over ‘digging up dirt’ comments

The CEO of the UBER taxi service has apologised after suggesting it would be a good idea to hire researchers to dig up dirt on its critics in the media.

Emil Michael made the comments after apparently being annoyed with the way the company’s management team has been cast as insensitive to criticism and commercially hyper aggressive .

Michael was reacting in particular to a journalist’s column which accused UBER of “sexism and misogyny”.
