Because as new and fresh as they are—they still know how to drum up the sophisticated but elegant Valentino of the past. In a season that was actively seeking a return to designer roots, Paris Fashion Week’s Spring 2013 Valentino label won us over with their slipdresses and simplicity, the latter of which Chiuri and Piccioli are king and queen in our book. Of course, the embellishments and beading made a statement, but in that simplistic sophisticated signature Valentino style that made us all fans.
