From Visconti to Today by Alabama Muse for F/W 26-27, Milan Fashion Week | FashionTV | FTV
Take a breath of Italian glamour – enjoy the fall/winter 2026-2027 collection of Alabama Muse showcased at Milan Fashion Week! The show was a love letter to timeless Italian elegance inspired by Loredana Berte’s sensual anthem and Luchino Visconti’s cinematic masterpiece starring the extraordinary Anna Magnani. The collection gathers the great muses of Italian cinema – Sophia, Claudia, Gina, Monica, Silvana, Virna, Nannarella – and channels their intense, powerful, divine presence into a wardrobe that feels both nostalgic and utterly contemporary. Alice Gentili’s vision is clear: a rigorous, neorealist aesthetic rooted in years of observing the industry at Vogue during the Franca Sozzani era, enriched by artistic studies and a deep passion for authentic, emotional cinema. The bustier returns as an object of desire – fitted, feminine, emphasizing curves. Skirts glide over the hips like a glove. New cossack hats and fur headdresses nod to iconic imagery. The signature turquoise lining and internal straps allowing coats to be worn as backpacks remain distinctive marks of the brand’s soul. For the first time, Alabama Muse introduces slip dresses — lightweight, alluring, in candy colors with delicate red highlights. Silk and chiffon wrap the body effortlessly, embellished with unique contrasting details and ton-sur-ton jacquard.
