Sacred Stitches, Modern Voice by Hui for F/W 26-27, Milan Fashion Week | FashionTV | FTV

Published

on

Discover the fall/winter 2026-2027 collection of Hui unveiled at ! It was a journey through the ancient Chinese art of Nu Gong, the feminine embroidery tradition that generations of women used to stitch emotions, hopes, and personal histories into fabric. The show unfolds as an emotional landscape: suspended threads guide the models through the seasons of a woman’s life – from innocence to self-awareness, from invisibility to full empowerment. Embroidery is never mere decoration. It is tucked along seams, cuffs, and backs – intimate traces of labor often unseen. As the narrative progresses, those delicate fibers grow bolder, evolving into structural forms that mark the shift from silent presence to conscious protagonist. The color arc mirrors this journey: pale, ethereal tones give way to deep, introspective shades, and finally open into luminous whites that speak of self-determination and freedom. The space itself breathes with the story – light gradually floods in, reinforcing the message that women do not merely inherit systems; they weave new worlds. Silhouettes are fluid yet deliberate, combining softness with quiet authority. The collection bridges Chinese cultural heritage with a contemporary global language, offering a reflection on healing, continuity, and the generative power of womanhood.

#21: Cinematic Intimacy & 1940s Silhouettes, Milan Fashion Week F/W 26-27

Published

on

Experience the art of everyday femininity of the fall/winter 2026-2027 collection of Alessandro Dell’Acqua showcased at Milan Fashion Week!

The brand #21 delivered the line rooted in “creative truth” and a beautifully raw, everyday femininity. Inspired by artist Sophie Calle’s famous 1981 photographic series “The Hotel”, where she documented the intimate belongings of hotel guests, and the surreal, innocent vanities of Federico Fellini’s film 8 ½, the runway became a beautifully polished exploration of elegant, cinematic voyeurism.

Stepping away from heavy structures, Dell’Acqua built the collection on a canvas of absolute black, using it as a neutral space to reset the narrative.

The wardrobe effortlessly balanced masculine tailoring with 1940s-inspired feminine silhouettes: think intentionally minimal white men’s shirts paired with cool wool trousers, contrasting against severe little white collars, fluid lace slip-dresses, and striking double black-on-pink brassieres.

It was an exquisite investigation into the simple truths of a woman’s everyday wardrobe, unveiled in its purest form, right down to the season’s standout accessory, the medium-size Cabiria bag.

Renowned for infusing bold Latin spirit and infectious energy into swimwear, the brand once again delivered a powerful display of vibrant, high-octane resort glamour. The show perfectly embodied the sun-drenched Miami lifestyle – effortlessly capturing the seamless shift from a luxurious day on a private yacht to a sultry midnight lounge under the stars.
