Discover Simon Cracker’s fall/winter 2026-2027 collection entitled Slow – Final Chapter: “Aunts”! It is a fairy tale about the aunts and uncles of Italy, where the momentary wow effect is deemed unimportant compared to a journey of slow, mature growth. Since the brand’s inception in 2010, aunts have formed a veritable archive of styles for the house, from great-aunts Alberta, Iliana, and Prima to grandmother Alba. The collection addresses the word “chic,” a term the designer never fully understood but chose to exorcise through the birth of “Chicracker.” This concept suggests that chic is a matter of personality rather than pure aesthetics – the chic that “cracks.” It is defined by choosing a single color for a morning look, making bows out of sweet wrappers, or wearing long, stiff leather skirts. The garments themselves are technical puzzles, held together by piercings and knots rather than electricity or traditional seams. The runway features 18th-century silhouettes constructed from leather, blazers made of recycled faux fur, and cat tapestries transformed into king’s cloaks. Accessories include asthma inhaler earrings and shoes ranging from fur boots to “Cracker Boy” sneakers. Ultimately, the show is a celebration of the women who have supported the brand from the beginning, proving that being on the Women’s Fashion Week calendar is a tribute to the strong bond between lifelong female collaborators.
