Presented as an off-calendar showcase during Paris Haute Couture Week F/W 26–27, Qatari designer Dana AlMulla unveiled her collection titled “Echoes of Timeless Art.” Standing at the intersection of cultural heritage and international haute couture, the collection translates classic Islamic architectural forms into a modern, sculptural wardrobe. Munthe: the Art of Contradiction for S/S 27 | Copenhagen Fashion Week

Unlock the art of modern Scandinavian craftsmanship by watching the Munthe spring/summer 2027 show on FashionTV!

Presented at Copenhagen Fashion Week, Munthe’s newest collection enters a rich, artistic universe inspired by the female master artist and her atelier. Founded in 1994 by Creative Director Naja Munthe as an artistic and craft-focused antidote to fast fashion, the Danish heritage house continues its tradition of merging fine art with conscious, expressive design.

This season’s collection explores the conceptual embodiment of contradictions – balancing masculine structure with ethereal femininity. Soft ruffled dresses, delicate crochet lace tops, and pearl-adorned knits sit alongside paint-splattered worker denim, relaxed overalls, and sharply tailored jackets styled with neckties.

Drawing from the palette of an artist’s canvas, the collection features hues of atelier blue, lemon, cream, dark petrol green, and rich chocolate. True to Munthe’s DNA, the show highlights versatile, timeless wardrobe staples where every stain, texture, and tailored line reflects the dedication of hand craftsmanship.

Iamisigo: Art of Tactile Resistance for S/S 27 | Copenhagen Fashion Week

Published

Explore fashion as a living archive by watching the Iamisigo spring/summer 2027 collection on FashionTV!

Presented as the winner of the Zalando Visionary Prize at Copenhagen Fashion Week, Pan-African slow design house Iamisigo unveiled its S/S 2027 collection, titled “Sacred Ecologies.” Founded by Nigerian creative director Bubu Ogisi and rooted across Lagos, Nairobi, and Accra, the brand presented an immersive, wearable archive that transforms ancestral craft into a living form of political protest, decolonization, and environmental preservation.

Conceived as protective armor for the spirit, the collection draws on indigenous knowledge systems and the pedagogy of the wandering body. Reweaving raw materials sourced across the continent – banana fiber from Uganda, sisal from Tanzania, recycled aluminum from Kenya, and cotton and wooden beads from Nigeria – the 100% artisanal looks blur the line between human form and load-bearing sculpture.

Reclaiming waste through circular hand-crochet and zero-loss weaving, Iamisigo’s S/S 27 presentation proved that African textile heritage is not a static past to be preserved, but an active, sacred, and unyielding language for fashion’s future.
