Find out how street culture meets sacred elegance in the S/S 2027 collection of Willy Chavarria on FashionTV! Presented under the iconic modernist dome of Paris’s Espace Niemeyer, Willy Chavarria unveiled his S/S 2027 collection, titled “Comunion.”

Moving away from the confrontational urgency of past seasons, the New York-based designer exchanged overt political protest for an emotionally charged exploration of warmth, human dignity, and collective gathering.

Chavarria transformed his signature Chicano street-tailoring into an elevated statement of optimism and fluid intimacy. In response to Paris’s summer heat, hyper-masculine tailoring was softened with slithery satin layers, open shirting, and exposed boxer waistbands, contrasting sharply against prim, elevated womenswear and voluminous floral coats.

Nostalgic domestic motifs, evoking faded kitchen walls, hand-stitched handkerchiefs, and pillowcase florals, were rendered in vibrant hues of “Willy Red,” “Purple Cielo,” and “Copper Green.”

Willy Chavarria evolved his color language this season, softening his signature palette with mint-green leather Bermuda shorts, butter-yellow shirtdresses, and gauzy floral topcoats and evening gowns. Among the standout looks was a ’70s-inspired printed Oxford shirt, subtly accented with “Casa de Chavarria” lettering, worn by Bella Freud.

Anchored by a star-studded cast including Romeo Beckham and Jordan Clarkson, and debuted alongside a subversive Ugg footwear collaboration, the show proved that true dignity and community remain high fashion’s ultimate act of resistance.
