The “In Praise of Bamboo Shadows” collection offers a serene, masterfully executed study in movement, light, and delicate craft. Designed by the creative trio Nobutaka Kobayashi, Sen Kawahara, and Yuki Itakura, the runway transformed into a tranquil sanctuary set against translucent screens and towering bamboo structures.

Inspired by East Asian ink wash paintings and traditional katazome kimono stencil dyeing, the collection translates nature’s fluid geometry into weightless, contemporary menswear.

Signature pleats return reimagined in sheer organza and fluid silks, alongside gradient-bleached lightweight denim, sculptural dolman sleeves, and garments woven directly from real bamboo leaves. Moving from stark monochrome and earthy bamboo tones to vibrant accents of mint green and royal blue, the line balances meditative precision with architectural functionality.
